Reach the Moon! Rocket drink straw game with space crafting
Megosztás
Reach the Moon is an awesome game that can be played by up to 4-6 children, competing to reach the moon first. To do all this, you must first create the elements of the game. During the handicraft, the space, the Astronaut, the moon can be made according to their own taste, and rockets and UFOs can be colored with your favorite colors. Meanwhile, children’s creative, fine motoring and more skills develop unnoticed.
The essence of the game is to blow missiles and UFOs in the direction of the Moon with the help of a drink straw. You can test the distance and compete on whoever succeeds first.
1. Creating space - paper layer technique
To make the space, you need more blue paper and one black paper from the Adventure Jumbo Box. Based on the video instruction, we always place the sheets on top of each other and cut a smaller and smaller wavy surface from the middle of the paper. Between the layers of paper we put plasticine or adhesive plasticine, pieces of other material that provide depth. With lemon yellow and orange sheets, cutting circles into the dark blue sheet, we can create a background that can symbolize distant planets, the sun, Mars.
2. Preparation of the astronaut
A shape as shown in the picture is drawn on a white piece of paper. Here, too, it is completely customizable to make a Martian or an astronaut in a different kind of outfit. The drawing in the video can be easily followed by pausing the video. The shapes are cut around, the individual elements are glued together. In the case of the legs and hands, in the area of the knee and elbow, we make it even more lifelike by accordion-like folding. In the end, don't forget the flagpole from your hand!
3. Making the moon - layer technique
Making the moon is very simple. One cream color and one gray paper are required. Cut out the circle of the Moon from both sheets at once. Then we cut smaller circles from the darker sheet. Stack the two sheets on top of each other so it will be really cheese-like.
4. Fit Rockets to drink straws
Paint the missiles and UFOs as you like.
Cut 1-1 small pieces from the brown thicker drink straw. These are taped at one end. These small elements are glued to the cork shapes so that the glued part faces the tip of the rocket. Finally, we plug in the colorful striped, thinner drink straw, and with a big blowing, the rocket is already flying in the air.
The game can begin! Have fun!
